2023 Volunteer Days at the AFFN Orchard

The Volunteer Days this year were a huge success.  Over three days, over 20 people worked to clear brush, perform annual maintenance of the young, caged trees at the orchard and established the layout of the newly grafted trees that will be added to the Orchard.

Many thanks for the efforts (and sore muscles!!) of the Volunteers!  It takes diligent work and some elbow grease to collect, protect and preserve the genetic heritage of our North American fruits.

Additionally, we were treated to a spectacle of Frost Flowers to kick off the maintenance activity!  So beautiful!!
